Mr. Rawlinson is married to Mrs. Tarica Rawlinson, father of two. A mentor by call and profession, Mr. Rawlinson has over twenty years of experience working with at-risk youth. Mr. Rawlinson serves as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor at Grace Church of Durham, where he faithfully serves under the leadership of his spiritual mentor, Dr. Kedrick T. Lowery. He has coordinated and led youth Bible studies at local community centers; he has served as a liaison between local universities and Grace Church and currently serves as the Grace Church Youth and Young Adult Pastor.
Mr. Rawlinson is the current Program Manager of My Brother's Keeper (MBK) in Durham. MBK Durham works to unleash the power of communities working together to solve problems for boys and young men of color, at the level to improve real-life outcomes.
He has been employed through agencies such as YouthBuild, Durham County, City of Durham, Salvation Army Boys Club, Durham Public School System, and Life Foundations Behavioral and Mental Health, Inc. He has also served as a Lead Outreach Worker for Project BUILD. This agency specializes in gang intervention by linking gang-involved youth to appropriate resources to decrease negative activity and more importantly to increase productivity. Mr. Rawlinson recently served as the Community Engagement Specialist for The Community Builders in Durham, NC programming for youth in the community.
Mr. Rawlinson completed his undergraduate studies at North Carolina Central University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. In December 2013, Mr. Rawlinson received his Master’s Degree in Executive- Public Administration at NCCU.
